Buyer's Remorse?
Spleck is coming whether I'm ready for it or not. And the smart money is I am not ready for it, but I bought a portfolio replete with black paper in each folder and I need to make use of it otherwise I've wasted money that I don't have.
What's Spleck? I am so glad that you asked, not that you did, but let's pretend that you did.
Spleck is a comic strip that has been trying to cross the distance between my head and the anxiously waiting public.
I am less than two years into my journey as an artist and know that my ability to do sequential art is weak to say the least.
But here I am, set to to release this thing that maybe I shouldn't.
Are you at all interested in Spleck? Only time will tell, but regardless of reply, I am going to run with it through the length of this first portfolio, which has 24 slots in it that allows for 48 pages so I'll be Splecking for awhile.
If I had the wherewithal, I would hire a sequentialist to draw Spleck ,which would make it better for certain sure. Now that doesn't mean there won't come a day in the life of this comic strip that I won't be able to afford a good sequentialist, but based on my history, it won't be anytime soon.
Now yesterday's expenditure was only 14.55$, which included the buying of three eraseable pencil crayons of suitable brightness for the black paper as I am loath to remove all that black paper and replace it with white paper which would leave me with more options but be a hassle I don't need.
But every dollar adds up and money's tight.
Still, now that I've forced myself to make a go of it to justify the expenditure, let me make the best of it.
If nothing else, it should make for something for you, my adoring public, which is a truth that I can dream of it being to laugh at, with appreciation for my efforts.
Right?
Maybe?
No?
Oh well.
Time will tell what comes of this, because time tells all.
