Writing While Sated
I am not unsad to say that I am writing while sated, which is to say that I ate in the bad hours for the first time in 107 days and while that was good and would have continued to be more days stacked on other more days, I ate only once on Tuesday and I was suitably hungered to break that streak.
And it started with chocolate chips for cookies that never made it there. And while they are good for a time, you do hit a point where you have had too many.
I reached that point.
Minor sigh.
Then I had a poached egg sandy with onion and finally two slices of raisin toast with Maple Spread.
Yummy.
But these are the bad hours because at 47, soon to be 48, October 19, my metabolism sucks and what was once a thin body, then a slim one until what it is now, not slim at all, but currently just under 170 pounds at 5ft6, which gives you an idea of what I'm working with.
And yeah, I got this way much on the back of bad hour eating, not enough exercise, and age.
Do I think that I'll find my way back to a slimmer frame, in the 140's, yes, but not without effort and certainly long periods like the one that just ended will be of great help.
Also, less pizza and cheese too.
Now, as I wrote earlier, I didn't eat but once on Tuesday so I am not worried that I will begin to eat in the bad hours regularly again, or even semi-regularly but...
I lost my train of thought there.
So I will just walk away from that unfinished thought and try to keep this to food.
Questions:
What are your struggles with food?
What do you love to eat on a particular day(Burgers on Saturday. Pizza on Fridays*)?
Do you like to cook?
Do you bake?
What fictional character would you like to cook for and what would you cook for them?
What writer would you like to cook for?
Kermit, Babe, Flipper, Charlie the Tuna and Bambi, who do you save, who do you save but let die afterwards, who do you kill?
What would bee the cover of your cookbook?
I'm not saying that this is what I am going to write about on Wednesday Whatevitation, because I'd like engagement on this, but only time will tell I guess.
But next time and there will be a next time, I like to think that I will not be writing after I have eaten in the bad hours.
This has been Wednesday Whatevitation and you've been mildly pleased that you read this blog entry.
