I'm Still Here

I'm here to say that here I was
Because
Well simply put
I'm here to keep the string of days
That I appear
Remains intact
That's a fact
No to make you feel bad
Not that you should feel sad
But one never knows
What a reader feels
When they rightly know
Why I am here

 So with that said
And the writer's curfew
That I have stumbled on
Just Monday since
About to fall in place
For the sixth straight day
I'll be quick
And hope that you'll stick with me
As you like my poetry
And even Spleck
Which is coming back
You just have another week to wait
And surely yes
You can do that
Because it's just one panel
And hardly missed
Since no one's said
They're dying without it

 But I've long since given up
On the sweet idea
Of regular comments
To give me a good idea
Of how best to give
My two readers
What they most want

 So I guess it's best
To just write for myself
Which I've been doing
Since July
And any readership
That I have at all
Is just icing on the salad

 I'm here to say that here I was
Because
I not only need to be here
But want to as well
Because it's good to write me to
The daily schedule
No matter how few
Like even two
Read my writing
It's not exciting
It just what it is

Good morning humans. I hate the gravity of your world because it is hard on my back and my back has had enough of it and as a result, I woke up with a pain that that I cannot stand, so I am writing to you from the comfort of my bed. Though being true, because of the pain, there is no comfort but the comfort of escaping awareness through sleep. Hopefully I will find my way to sleep tonight because right now, it feels as though I will not. It is painfully clear to me that I have been away from the words for far too long as I got caught up in the memoriams of humans that have made the pictures that they so love. I don't get their appreciation of these stories, because I find them too long and they often like to make followups. And to that idea I shake my head. Maybe it's odd that I think this as a writer, but it is how I feel. I don't even remember what I was going to write. Was I going to slam Dalton for calling me a quitter if I withdrew from the collective? He certainly deserves it, not that I hate him, but he was certainly an ass when he was dissing me for wanting the collective to succeed. But that was more than a half hour ago and that was too long for me to hold onto the thought that I had then. Wow, how is it so much brighter here than it was when I took the photo, with the lights or flash? Ugh. The science of nature am I right? I like this drawing a lot. Well, I'm not crazy about the pencil's beak, but apart from that, he's a good pencil and I will continue to draw them. Ideally with more colour choices  than the four that I currently have. But for now, however long now lasts, four will have to do. Spleck II will graduate past the black paper so that I have more choices. As for the little guy with his very own flag, he's a Pobadyd and all good Pobadyds have their own flags. Luckily for Poeth, there are many ways for a Pobaddyd to earn themselves a flag becuase there's really only one thing that Poeth is good at, since he's so small and easily beaten in all the physical ways that a Pobadyd can earn their flag.
