Spleck:Creyonah 12th

Guess what this strip is about?

What, you thought I wouldn't have something to say about inflammatory opinions about comic book movies?

And if I'd bothered to sharpen my knife I'd have gone harder on what Francis Ford Coppola said.

See, I like most of them and I especially like MCU movies and am bothered by the vitriol of the comments by Martin Scorsese and especially the aforementioned who called them despicable.

Really? Despicable? A movie or series of movies that you don't like is despicable?

Surely he knows what that word means right?

If you don't, look it up, he is dead wrong.

Your choice of words sir and I use that term with an inward snort because sir is not the way I would like to address him right now, but I generally don't go around throwing cusses at people.

At things that drive me up the wall? Yes. At people? No.

And with the particularly offensive comment made by Mr. Coppola being factually wrong, it's easy for me to take the high road and be clever without resorting to words that are just wrong.

Seriously, Avengers Endgame is despicable even though it was very entertaining, heartfelt, thrilling, fun and a celebration of heroism, which we need in these times more than we need another Johnny Thug movie.

Yeah, I don't care for the oeuvre of either grumpy old man.

Sure they've made classic films, but classics in films I generally don't care for.

So it's very easy for me to want to salute them and their thoughts on films that do not hurt theirs.

Did I just go to low?

I think not.

But feel free to tell me that I have, or haven't.

In any event, I got a good Petrie drawing out of their assinity.

Now will sending this both gentleman cause any ripples?

Probably not.

Charles Petrie
