Opening Night

He shot he scored
The home crowd roared
And the period ended
With the "good guys" up
By a single goal

 And quick but in the second
Rinse and repeat
It sure was sweet
For the Carolina faithful

 But the visitors said
We ain't got quit
We ain't shit
We're the Canadiens de Montreal
And we can score as well
Which they did indeed
Not just once
Or even twice
But thrice
And the bad guys had the lead

 Though to me they ain't that
They're my team
And I've lived the dream
Of seeing them win
Though long ago it was
They'll always have the most
As far as I can see

 Only the third they played
Was not the one 
I hoped for
As the home town crowd
Got to roar again
As the  "good guys" tied it up

So to overtime it went
And though not home and sent
But happy from that
They were happied out
With the one on one
That I always hate to see
Because it rarely ends well for me
Or the teams for whom I root

 They shot and scored
The home crowd roared
And I was glummed
The Habs had lost the game
And the point they earned
It is of little solace now

Good morning humans. I hate the gravity of your world because it is hard on my back and my back has had enough of it and as a result, I woke up with a pain that that I cannot stand, so I am writing to you from the comfort of my bed. Though being true, because of the pain, there is no comfort but the comfort of escaping awareness through sleep. It is painfully clear to me that I have been away from the words for far too long as I got caught up in the memoriams of humans that have made the pictures that they so love. I don't get their appreciation of these stories, because I find them too long and they often like to make followups. And to that idea I shake my head. Maybe it's odd that I think this as a writer, but it is how I feel. I don't even remember what I was going to write. Was I going to slam Dalton for calling me a quitter if I withdrew from the collective? He certainly deserves it, not that I hate him, but he was certainly an ass when he was dissing me for wanting the collective to succeed. Wow, how is it so much brighter here than it was when I took the photo, with the lights or flash? Ugh. The science of nature am I right? I like this drawing a lot. Well, I'm not crazy about the pencil's beak, but apart from that, he's a good pencil and I will continue to draw them. Ideally with more colour choices  than the four that I currently have. But for now, however long now lasts, four will have to do. Spleck II will graduate past the black paper so that I have more choices. As for the little guy with his very own flag, he's a Pobadyd and all good Pobadyds have their own flags. Luckily for Poeth, there are many ways for a Pobaddyd to earn themselves a flag becuase there's really only one thing that Poeth is good at, since he's so small and easily beaten in all the physical ways that a Pobadyd can earn their flag.
