"I thought you knew better Creyon, that I could just tell you in a friendly way that the DarkZone was not big enough for the two of us and that I'd never see or hear from you again. But here you are, not six months removed from when we last spoke. What don't you get about the situation here?" Effasae said to me, sounding anything but friendly and filled with menace. that had me shaking. But I was going to stand tall and not let him scare me away. At least not before I did what I came here to do.

"I didn't come back for a confrontation Effasae." I said, holding back my anger, because as much as I could draw big and burly heroes of action defending their people from the dread of villainy, I was anything but a skilled fighter. Even if I had arms to throw hands that I could ball up into fists.

"Well, if you had any sense in that rubber brain of yours you would have known that you were going to have one anyways once you stepped lead back in Zone because I have people at the border. All the borders, in case you harbour any illusions that you can sneak in from one of the other zones the next time, because we both know that what you want to happen isn't going to happen. No matter what you promise her." He said with a smile. A sick and twisted one that was cold and filled with hate. How I'd ever seen him as something other than what I knew him to be was beyond me now.

I grunted and looked away from his intense gaze, as it was too much for me to bear. "You don't know what you're talking about Effasae. I didn't come back for Sharr. She doesn't want anything to do with me." I said, hating how much truth there was to those words.

"Ha ha ha! Don't lie to me Creyon, we both know that you're head over lead in love with her and won't rest until she tells you to leave her alone, that it will never be like it was before." He said as his laughter stung me like the stings of a dozen bees, giving their lives to defend their hive.

"I'm not lying Effasae. I had some unfinished business is all and I'm not even going to be here long." I said, lying to him, or half lying because I wasn;t going to be here for long, I had to get back home, but not without talking to Sharr

"Oh Creyon, you know that there's nothing more I hate than being lied to. But go ahead, lie to me like I don't know everything that happens in my Zone because she's not going to leave with you. Not now, not ever, You blew you chance with her. So for the moment, go on your lying way, you'll only frustrate yourself all the more. Ha ha ha! But just be careful you'll never know when I might stop being amused by your efforts and make you understand what it's like to feel my anger." He said before he turned and walked away, content to leave me alone when he could have ended me then and there. But he prided himself on not laying the body on anyone.
