Spleck: Creyonah 18th


Yes, I want to get paid for my drawings.

 I mean, I deserve to rewarded for them don't I since they make people happy and make people happy is a job.

 And don't even ask which jobs make people happy because you know them and I don't have to tell you what you already know.

 I've been happy these past two years drawing all these drawings without any remuneration, but futt me, I deserve some monies as these drawings are quirkily good.

 Well, at least the people who have received them have liked them and that's enough for me. 

 And I have gotten better at my drawings. and will continue getting better in the years to come.

 I'm even going to buy myself a how to drawing book and see if I can make me some progress because I would like to be able to draw some credible looking people.

 I can't just draw pencils, paintbrushes and the like.

 Or can I?

 Only time will tell but yes, I need to do more than what I have sone to this point, even if I run with the pencils and the like  for another year, or three?

 I am no spring chicken, but I can run with the strips for decades to come.

 Another thirty easily even if I eventually succumb to Alzheimers, which is in the family, which is a good long time.

 So yes, that book will be a good investment and I will be sure to keep you up to date on my progress thanks to the book, as long as there's progress to show of course. I do have my limits and there are some things I will nev er be able to master, let alone be half the way to not bad.

 Le Sigh.

 But truth is truth.

 Still there is a place at the table for me.

 But I have to clean my part of said table now, so I'll be bouncing now.

Good morning humans. I hate the gravity of your world because it is hard on my back and my back has had enough of it and as a result, I woke up with a pain that that I cannot stand, so I am writing to you from the comfort of my bed. Though being true, because of the pain, there is no comfort but the comfort of escaping awareness through sleep. It is painfully clear to me that I have been away from the words for far too long as I got caught up in the memoriams of humans that have made the pictures that they so love. I don't get their appreciation of these stories, because I find them too long and they often like to make followups. And to that idea I shake my head. Maybe it's odd that I think this as a writer, but it is how I feel. I don't even remember what I was going to write. Was I going to slam Dalton for calling me a quitter if I withdrew from the collective? He certainly deserves it, not that I hate him, but he was certainly an ass when he was dissing me for wanting the collective to succeed. Wow, how is it so much brighter here than it was when I took the photo, with the lights or flash? Ugh. The science of nature am I right? I like this drawing a lot. Well, I'm not crazy about the pencil's beak, but apart from that, he's a good pencil and I will continue to draw them. Ideally with more colour choices  than the four that I currently have. But for now, however long now lasts, four will have to do. Spleck II will graduate past the black paper so that I have more choices. As for the little guy with his very own flag, he's a Pobadyd and all good Pobadyds have their own flags. Luckily for Poeth, there are many ways for a Pobaddyd to earn themselves a flag becuase there's really only one thing that Poeth is good at, since he's so small and easily beaten in all the physical ways that a Pobadyd can earn their flag.
