Spleck: Creyonah Special #9
Yoffa has not had an apprentice for a long time, not since the War of the Lost.
And Sambiner Loeth is eager to learn at the feet of a master he thought to have long since passed.
But Half Head came to him a fortnight past and told him that he was needed.
There is definitely a Star Wars vibe with little Yoffa, who I could not draw like this again if my life depended on it.
I will have to learn how to draw characters the same way on more than one occasion.
And at different angles too of course, not just profile, but front facing.
For today however, Little Yoffa resonates with me and I would love to draw him again if I could make this idea come alive.
As for Sambiner Loeth, he responates with me less and if I needed to kill someone off if I went ahead and began to write a story about him and the fallout of the War of the Lost, he would be the first one that I would choose for the chopping block.
Though I'd love to him get the proper treatment in the hands of an actual artist, I'm just a man who draws, as far as being an artist.
I'm also a man who writes, hence why I have a blog, again, not that it will be active for long, though I'll only be disappointing two, if they can't follow me to my own website for next year and the years to come.
At least two quiet regulars, because I've only ever gotten two whole comments since July. And those were, charitable ones at that.
If only someone wanted to comment constructively on my art, which continues to improve, however slowly and fitfully.
But that doesn't seem to be in the cards for me. Is it because I continue to ask for it?
Or are these actually talented artists jerks who don't have a care to give a pointer or seventeen.
I'd like to think not, but what else can I think?
Oh well, it is what it is.
You no doubt noticed the flipside is back after a one day absence, which came for a good reason, the heads that I drew weren't up to my level of good that I have started to show, which is saying something, but it is true.
But the main profile of the blond haired blue skinned manis pretty damn good for me.
I know there are plenty out there who would look at this and point out 13 things wrong with it and I welcome those constructive critiques, which I know won't come, but a fool can dream.
As for the little grey whatever, I'd undraw him if I could, without wrecking what's good about the flipside
And it's still better than the two heads that I didn't show yesterday.
Judging by the mouth, he's an old codger, though he has the blond locks of a much younger man.
He also has the air of a tough guy and I'd like to see him in a fight, though I have no idea what kind of baddie he'd fight, dressed in what looks like some kind of trenchcoat.
And if it doesn't look like one at all, under the hands of a proper artist, it would be.
That limits his power level, but we can't all be Superman level heroes now can we?
I would think that based on this profile. he's got some pop to his punch, is quick and I feel that his skin is bulletproof.
He's also a skilled marksman, though yes, gunmen also limit what you can do, but he doesn't have to carry a gun that shoots bullets. At least not lead bullets.
But bullets of air and water? Those are fair game.
And that about does it for this posting.
You be well and may the team(s) that you root for not disappoint you by sucking out all the joy with good results that got them to 6th in the league by losing three straight, even though they got two points in those losses, that just means they delayed the sucking until extra time.
Oh bother.
