Spleck: Creyonah #46
I just can't watch It's A Wonderful Life before mid-December.
For me it's the second to last Christmas movie I want to see and the ideal time to watch it is between the 19th and 23rd.
So needless to say I haven't watched it this year or the last three.
I can't remember when I last saw it in fact.
Now that's just me.
Others seem to think it should be played in November.
Seriously CTV?
November 30th for what is no doubt one of the classic Christmas movies of all?
Admittedly it took decades for it to become that classic because it wasn't well received at first.
But it is now.
If you're old enough I suppose.
And I am.
Others will no doubt say Elf, which I like lots but it's no It's A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol or Miracle on 34th Street.
Fred Claus is sweeter, even with bad casting in light of a certain actor.
Le Sigh.
Seriously CTV?
Though that's not as bad as the network/channel/station that played Miracle on 34th Street in September.
Now that's just wrong.
Play Christmas movies in December.
Not that I won't watch them in November if they are on.
At least the Hallmark kind.
Of course I'm not a programmer so what do I know right?.
I'm just a man with a blog.
But I'm right aren't I?
Certain Christmas movies should play later than others.
And while I know that it's set at Christmas, I will never see Die Hard as a Christmas movie. It's just an action movie set in December.
Like Iron Man 3 and Batman Returns.
I won't however push this thinking on anyone.
Can I go to bed now?
Am I tired?
I am.
This is me bringing this particular blog post to an end.
Shortly.
Just how many words have I written to this point?
Today that is.
Oh well.
Ho ho ho!
Merry Christmas.
