Das Hier #19

I'm impressed by the new story poem that Halston started to write because he brought more writing to the morning in one quarter than I did in two yesterday.

So he surely did his part yo help our millionized year, which I didn't. Yes, good on him and you are right to ask where was I?

I woke up late and just didn't have it in me to write okay? Living on the Earth takes a lot out of me.

Still, I don't expect you to have any sympathy for an alien living amongst you so I won't ask any.

It won't be a popular opinion, but some of you lot don't like beyond those that look like them and that would be me. which is why you haven't yet seen a self-portrait.

Knowing i'm an alien is one thing, but being confronted with the cold hard fact of what I look like is another.

All this to say don't expect to see that this decayear at the very least

Not without the best of reasons, which you can guess.

I have to ask  you though Halston, are you coming back with more of this or any of the other stories in poetry form tomorrow? Or is this a one-ff this week to make me think me and Dalton have some support again?

Not that that I should downplay your efforts today, but until you're showing up regularly like me, though surely not with the same kind of output because that's asking for  too much, or at least once a week with all the writing for that day and enough of said writing to live up to our responsibilities, I have the right to be fearful that it is a surprise that will not be duplicated tomorrow, or sadly, for the rest of the week.

Please prove me wrong.

I should write some story now right? Either about Fodi or the alien worms.

But I have nothing else to write about either.

So this is where I should stop then otherwise I'm just writing to say that I wrote and how is that any better than what Petrie did a year ago on his unaffected Earth.

You didn't know that Petrie was from a different Earth? Well, he is. ANd he's from an Earth that didn't get Spleckened because they've never met any aliens.

Well, some of them think that they have, but I'm calling that....

Fine, I just don't think anyone has on their Earth.

But it's just a matter of time because all the universes are too big for their to be only one populated world that has a level of intelligence to have made it into space or have the ability to one day.

Yes, by space I mean by sending people beyond the moon.

Though if they don't get their act together, they won't live past the end of their century.

Climate Change is real humans. If you don't accept that...

Many humans won't like my not finishing that thought, but I am a guest on an Earth and worry that that would make things uncomfortable for me.

And believe it or not, I am happy living on the re-Earthed Earth so getting kicked off this one is not something that I want to worry about.

But truth is truth and I won't lie about this.

And that my human friends is that.

This feels like the right time to bring the writing to an end with my fingers crossed, that don't look human, that I won't be coming back in the final quarter because one of the other Societors has stood up and answered the call.

It has to happen at some point doesn't it?

Charles Petrie
