The Russell Macklemore Experience #16

21:07-22:43

Coming Of Age is tonight's episode and it's about Wesley Crusher, who was not a fan favourite as I recall, but wasn't an issue for me.

And look it's an admiral an old friend of Picard's and his assistant. It would be interesting if they were to prove pivotal in a future episode because they came onto the Enterprise with an agenda that was going to cause some upset.

But what are the odds of that?

Damn, Wesley, the cute human is crushing on you?

Ugh, I already don't like Mr. Remmick again.

Wesley has this doesn't he? Of course he'll be the one chosen, though it's stupid if you ask me that Starfleet only has one slot available.

Unless there are that many who apply each year. Or so many stay that they have almost too many in Starfleet?

Oh noes, Jake, the previously unmentioned friend of Wesley who we only met in this episode has justy gone and stolen a shuttlecraft
and he's going to burn up above a planet, just at the time of a commercial break.

What's going to happen?

Don't worry, Picard talked him through it.

But Remmick is still there talking to all the main cast, about Picard.

All save for Yar and Crusher.

And nothing came of it.

Remmick wanted to serve on the Enterprise?

That would have been interesting.

They wanted Picard to be an admiral and work at the Academy?

Damn, that would have been a waste of Picard's abilities.

Too bad this wasn't  taken anywhere.

What could have been.

A plot to destroy the Federation.

Oh well.

As for Wesley, he failed his entrance exam and one of the other aliens won.

I guess that just means they have other plans for Wesley.

And Picard had to tell his old friend he wasn't going to take the job.

You know the rest.

But what you don't know is that I just found out that my enthusiasm for commenting on the episodes in this fashion has up and left me.

I don't know how much longer I will continue with this.

I'll watch all the episodes, but cannot say I will comment on all of them.

I guess we'll find out what I have decided together.

In the meantime, there's no Hockey to talk about but the way that Habs were playing, they weren't going to make it to the playoffs and win as they did the year that I was born.

They weren't even going to make the playoffs.

Ugh.

And that 24 team playoff scenario isn't going to happen either.

This is going to the current normal for who knows how long.

It is my sincere hope that you're all holding up during this trying time in all our lives.

I have a geeling, regarding my decision to continue with the review of the episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, that I won;'t be missed if I stop and continuing will be accepted..

Though I'm sure there's a preference on which decision I take.

Not that I have to make a decision, just that I had this thought tonight.

Be well.
